ah Leonardo's image I think. Lovely old sepia and tea colours. I like the wheat in the second one & again those calming shades. You're so good at assemblage Jo.You inject an 'other world'thought provoking feel into your work Hope you're feeling back to your old self again? Rainey
you grabbed me on the side bar with leo and the word pagan! I did a whole show on Leo a few years back, my first solo and it was such a great experience. Leo's mother was named Caterina... your work is awesome is it going in your shop?
gorgeous pieces! the sepia tones and the elements are awesome...i love the rusty wire.. i had alot of that same wire that came out of the wall behind our bath when we renovated.
Thank you ladies. Yes, back to my old self Rainey; my down days don't last long, thank god! The wire mesh, Lisa, came from the site of an old burned out car that me and the kids found on a summer walk. The words at the side are from my brother's headstone, but in this case mean that summer hasn't died, it's just changed into autumn. They are both for sale in my etsy shop.
Ooooh...NICE Jo! Your colour palette here is so foxed and soft and beautiful! Oh - fyi - I chucked up my barter list, finally, on my barter crcle blog. I'm going to go with Alicia on this one, as she's a one stop shop of hoardings and duplicates, lol!! However, I'll have plenty of extra stuff, even after Alicia, so if you want to do a swap let me know, else chuck me a list if you've got one and I'll put it up on my blog then refer everybody back again to you.
Hi Jo, thank you so much for your kind words, I´m happy you like my work and are interested in my brooches. I sent you a message on etsy with more details ;-)
Good to hear you´re feeling better, I hope you saw my comment on your last posting. And your new collages are just beautiful, they have such a great feel of vintage and nostalgia to them.
Jo _ I've been trying to sype you about the facebok thing - GREAT idea. I'll try and email you instead. PS...I have only just seen your Brace Yourself posting. See my comment, hun.
these are just gorgeous, jo! i've been trying to comment on you and other blogger blogs since yesterday when OWOH started, but they all appeared to be broken, saying "bad request" when you tried to comment. ugh.
anyway, i adore these! the colours, the textures, the burned edges and handwriting. all just gorgeous!!
We are all stepping out toward the Crow Road. Some running, some meandering, others sitting by the wayside. Befriend other travellers, enjoy the journey and leave behind something beautiful.
