Ok today I start my challenge of only using handmade or secondhand goods for a whole year. The next time you see me, I may look like this! (Not made my mind up about the beard yet though)
I personally do this, unless I cannot find it by hand or used. it is rare, but I just bought new cooking pans and they are green pans. other wise I re-everything. I still spring for a mustache wax though, or I am sure I would look like the above geezer!!! LOL!
this is quite fantastic! i pretty much do this EXCEPT for when it comes to art stuff, which i buy way too much of on a large level. and boots -- i'm a boot and knee-high whore. and books, though most i get second hand. thinking about this, it would be quite a challenge in a lot of areas i wouldn't really think of.
what will you do if you run out of something like paint or glue? i know -- ring your friend alicia and she shall send some second hand to you. i'm a hoarder of such things so have much to spare.
that man reminds me of my pop for some reason. :) i still pray i don't inherit the beard!
Well I was just thinking about clothing and furniture! No art supplies? Let's not be too hasty! I've had my first withdrawal already. my new Next catalogue arrived and I pounced on it with pleasure, until Simon reminded me that I couldn't actually order anything!
ok so it's been a few hours now-how are you getting on so far?! I'm kinda thinkin' of joining in but I'm not sure whether I could hack it to be honest as I DO like STUFF especially with the sales now on basically all of the time in town...mmmm I'm thinkin' I'm thinkin'.eh no I'm over it! You could use homemade sugar wax to keep your chinny chin & underarms free of stubble when your razor goes blunt! What about toothbrush?! just swig the gin that'll sort that out! You'll have to take a before & after pic of yourself to compare in a years time!I reckon we'll see evident the onset of craziness in the eyeballs by then as there are SO many catalogues and remember your post on Anthropologie! Ah I know I'm an awful bitch really-I should be supporting you ...sorry ..ok I won't slag you any more petal. You'll do GREAT!
Cackin myself over the comments. What a hoot! ROFL! Glad to hear art supplies don't count, PHew. That'd be a challenge and then some! Lookin forward to updates on hair growth, LOL!
Rainey, you old cow SHUT UP! I hadn't forgotten about Anthropologie, and I'm not going completely au naturel. No hairy legs and armpits for me. (Well not in the summer)
I'm beginning to think I'm not quite the self-sufficient, hippy chick I thought I was. I think I was lured in by Tif on dottie angel. She is living my life and she looks so cool. (How shallow is that?)
But ever onward, I will not fall at the first hurdle!
We are all stepping out toward the Crow Road. Some running, some meandering, others sitting by the wayside. Befriend other travellers, enjoy the journey and leave behind something beautiful.
