wonderful texture..love the encaustic!
Hi Jo! This is fantastic! Love the encaustic too...always gives it a filmy, ghost like appearance. The book spine is a nice addition too! I'm mucking around with recycled picture frame offcuts and then mounting my fabric collages in them (more to come on that in my next blog posting). In the meantime, I'm working away at making enough art/craft wares for an artfair coming up in Sept. Phew! Busy as usual - hence my tardiness when it comes to catching up on everyones' blogs!!
Seeing this makes me want to play with wax also! This creation is terrific. You deserve a Standing Ovation from my corner.
jo, this is just gorgeous! i lovelove it! the colors and texture are just divine!!i miss wax and you have inspired me to break out my melting pot, lady. such a magnificently gorgeous piece. i know you will sell it in a second! if i didn't just spend a whole day shopping in your and lisa and a few other etsy shops i'd snatch it up.LOVE the book spine on it too.
p.s. blogger is a huge jerk and hasn't let me post on anyone's blog in two days EXCEPT yours. woohoo! that part makes me happy.
Wow! wonderful! I missed this post and I see that you have been using book spines in your collages too-- I love it!
