Summer's End

Just finished a new piece, as yet untitled. Have used a little bit of wax again. Getting the knack a bit more now.

The words are the ones that are on my brother's headstone. (Still in morbid mood as you can tell!) Although here, they are about summer's transition into autumn.

(that's what I like; an adaptable epitaph!)

  1. Beautiful work and words. May I use the words for something I'm doing? I am gong to try encaustics, the effects are so beautiful.

  2. Yes of course, they are not mine to keep. They come from a Suquamish chief called Seattle (Seatlh) actually. They just seemed fitting when my brother died as we preferred to think of him having gone to another world instead.
I look forward to seeing what you do and thank you for the compliment.
